Autoimmune Assessment - Comprehensive

Test Code: 3431

The Autoimmune Assessment test is comprised of six routinely tested markers.

The antinuclear antibody (ANA) test is used as a primary test to assist in evaluating for autoimmune disorders. ANA are a group of autoantibodies produced by the immune system which may affect many tissues through the body and is used to help diagnose systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) along with other antibody (Ab) testing. ANA Ab’s can cause organ damage as they are located in the nucleus of cells. ANA’s may be used to help diagnose or rule out other autoimmune disorders, such as Sjögren syndrome, polymyositis and scleroderma.
